DESCRIPTION:Festival of Cricket (FOC) is an awe-inspiring\, unifying annual
  one-day event that has become one of the most popular occasions in the UK
  Sri Lankan community social calendar. It has been held every year since 1
 989 and is aimed at creating close bonds of fellowship and community throu
 gh the spirit of cricket and celebration.\nThe main attraction of the day 
 is a knock-out cricket competition played across eight cricket pitches\, c
 ulminating in an exciting final match to crown the year’s champions. Alo
 ngside the cricket there are live cultural and musical performances\, food
  stalls\, a children’s fun fair\, bazaars\, and entertainment for all ag
 es.\nThe Festival also has a strong charitable focus\, with proceeds donat
 ed to organisations such as Cancer Research UK\, Anthony Nolan\, and Cance
 r Relief Sri Lanka\, as well as other school and community causes.
